We’re here to help you out!

If you haven’t read our previous article, The Essential Oil Diffuser Guide, you might want to check it out for a quick review. In it, we discuss the four main types of essential oil diffusers: the heat diffuser, evaporative diffuser, ultrasonic diffuser and the nebulizing diffuser.

In The Diffuser Guide, we also discuss some of the many benefits of diffusing essential oils. Whether it’s stress relief, pain relief, improved sleep, boosted immune system, increasing cognitive function, or any of the other multiple benefits of essential oils, there are so many reasons to choose from to try aromatherapy in your home.

In our next post, we went over some of the benefits, blends and DIY recipes for Diffusing Rosemary Essential Oil. Once you get your diffuser, if you’re looking for a place to get started with some tips and tricks, we recommend checking it out.

Now, we’re going to tell you more about the best essential oil diffuser on the market

Picking Your Essential Oil Diffuser

Before we tell you why it’s the best diffuser, let’s ask a few questions to see if it’s right for you:

  1. Are you looking for a diffuser primarily as a natural air freshener, or are you interested in the therapeutic effects of aromatherapy as well?

If you’re mostly interested in deodorizing or freshening up the smell around the house, a nebulizing diffuser might not be necessary for your goals. Nebulizing diffusers are proven to be the most effective type of diffuser to best experience the therapeutic effects of the essential oilbeing diffused. We’ll talk about why later on.

  1. How important is ease of use and simplicity for you?

Interestingly enough, even though nebulizing diffusers are the most effective of the essential oil diffusers, they also require the least additional ingredients while doing so. Especially when compared to the other popular essential oil diffuser option – the ultrasonic essential oil diffuser. This is because the ultrasonic diffuser uses water to create a mist and a high-frequency (ultrasonic) vibrating disc to break the essential oil into tiny particles to be carried along with that vapor. Meanwhile, the nebulizing diffuser doesn’t use water. Just add your essential oil of choice, plug in and turn on!

  1. Are you looking for a large capacity diffuser? Or the best essential oil diffuser for large rooms?

Nebulizing diffusers also have the ability to carry the largest capacity of the essential oil diffusers. Since they don’t require water or refilling, some nebulizing diffusers are equipped with the capability to be connected directly to a bottle of essential oil. This can give them an extended capacity and also allows them to work best for larger rooms, or the whole home.

  1. Are you convinced yet?

If you’re not, don’t worry, we’ll tell you even more about nebulizing diffusers!

If you are, convinced, skip down below to see our video about the Danau Satu Nebulizing Diffuser, how to set it up and how it works.

Nebulizing Diffusers vs Ultrasonic Diffusers

Nebulizing diffusers and ultrasonic diffusers have become the two most popular type of essential oil diffusers in the last few years. Many of the ultrasonic essential oil diffusers now come as color-changing lamps as well, with different LED settings for different colors. In general, nebulizing diffusers don’t typically come with this feature. The focus of nebulizing essential oil diffusers is usually more on the quality of the product emitted. This is the case with our Danau Nebulizing Diffusers too. Our Danau Satu model comes with a beautiful, hand-made wooden base and custom-blown glass. This is important because our product doesn’t contain any plastic, which can corrode over time with contact with the essential oils.

As we mentioned before, similarly to an ultrasonic diffuser, nebulizing diffusers don’t use heat. However, nebulizing diffusers also don’t use water. Nebulizing diffusers use pure essential oils and in return, disperse a pure, undiluted mist that isn’t denatured or altered by heat.

How Do They Work?

As we explained in our previous article, The Complete Essential Oil Diffuser Guide, nebulizing diffusers use cool, pressurized air to force the essential oils into an atomizer, which breaks the essential oil molecules into very fine particles that are then dispersed into the air as a mist. Because this method is undiluted and doesn’t require heat, many believe this to be the best essential oil diffuser for aromatherapy, as it delivers the oil in its purest, finest form, which allows for better absorption in the air, lungs, skin and even surfaces for disinfecting.

And How Do You Use Them?

That depends on the model you have! Read the instructions carefully and follow them accordingly. But if you have a nebulizing diffuser, remember, it doesn’t need water! So if you’re getting ready to put some water somewhere, you might want to read the instruction manual again!

If you are using a Utama Spice Bali Danau Satu Diffuser, then the instructions are pretty simple!

  1. Place the base on a flat surface
  2. Place the glass sphere on top of the base with the glass tube going into the white part of the base and the directional spout on the top
  3. Plug in the power cable (you can use USB port or the wall adapter!)
  4. Lift up the spout and drop a few drops of essential oil inside the glass sphere
  5. Twist the knob to turn on and adjust

That’s it! Sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful benefits of aromatherapy and diffusing essential oils in your home.
