The older I get the more I find myself worrying about the signs of aging appearing on my face. I am a firm believer in being proactive and taking preemptive care with my skin care routine. As I am always doing research about the amazing things nature can do for the skin and being lucky enough to have some of the most wonderful raw ingredients at my fingertips, I am constantly trying out new things.

One day I wanted to make myself the ultimate natural anti-aging face serum with the things I had in my bathroom. With its extreme hydrating and anti-aging properties that would nourish my skin and create a fantastic base for my new serum I first reached for my favorite Oil of all time Coconut Oil!! To help reduce fine lines, redness, and increase the suppleness of my skin I reached for the most amazing liquid wax, Jojoba Oil. To minimize any dry patches and aid in moisture retention I wanted a lighter oil that is high in linoleic acids and omega 3 fatty acids so Argan was the next oil added to the base. Wanting one more oil high in vitamins and something to aid in wrinkle reduction I decided the last oil I would add to my base would be cocoa butter.

With my base sorted I moved on to selecting my active ingredients; naturally, I turned to my essential oil cabinet. My first choice is one of my favorites go to oils, with anti-inflammation and the ability to promote the growth of new skin cells to reduce scaring Lavender was the first in the blend. To give my serum the kick I wanted I added Rose Geranium and Cananga essential oil. Both have the amazing abilities to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles leading to a more youthful appearance. Cananga has the added ability to help regulate my skins natural oil production so it is not too oily or dry whereas Rose Geranium is a powerful anti-inflammatory and helps heal any scars I might have.
At this point I felt that my serum was almost perfect I just wanted to add one more thing that would help increase my blood circulation and help close my pores. After some thought, I decided that Patchouli oil would be the cherry on the top of my newest concoction.

Fast forward a few months and I realized that I had blended up this serum a few time and really liked the effects it was having on my skin. Deciding that I wanted to share this amazingly simple yet effective serum with the world I brought my formula to my team and within a few months my little creation became one of our fastest moving products and paved the way for our face care lines.
